I spent three weeks trying to bridge Reticulum onto HF so two people could pass a real message hundreds of miles with no cell tower, no Starlink, and nobody in the middle charging a toll. The radio is a Hermes Lite 2. The hard part isn’t only the physics — U.S. amateur rules also forbid hiding the meaning of a message on these bands, so whatever goes over the air has to be legal. This is an attempt to build an open-source internet we actually own, using the sky as the hop.
